G.H. Cretors

I heard practice makes perfect and I’m sure you’ve heard that before but I have found proof in what has to be the best popcorn I have ever tasted. I’m a pretty big fan of popped corn, it’s easy, tasty and can be pretty diet friendly. Cretors is popcorn with history. The Cretors family has been perfecting the art of popping corn since 1885! Not only are they behind a new brand of popcorn called GH Cretors, but the Cretors have made fantastic contributions to the world of popcorn lovers. They have made great advances which helped make popcorn the beloved snack that it is today: In 1885 Charles Cretors invented the popcorn machine. By 1893, Charles Cretors had created a steam powered machine that could roast peanuts as well as popcorn in oil. By 1900, Cretors introduced the first large horse drawn popcorn wagon. As theater attendance grew through the 1920s, Cretors began designing machines that could pop and hold more of the product.

As you can see this IS the history of popcorn and as you might imagine they make awesome popcorn. Now I told you I am a huge fan of popcorn to begin with. I understand all about how popcorn and a dark room only lighted by a movie makes you shovel it into your mouth by the handful. My husband, not so much, in fact he can take or leave popcorn, no matter what flavor I’ve tried on him he’s just not been impressed. Until now, that is. I’ve had to share every single flavor of G.H. Cretors with him! And I’m not talking about him grabbing a handful, he’s taken at least half of each bag. So it’s fair to say that this popcorn is so good even people who don’t care for popcorn will love it!

Part of what makes this so special is that G.H. Cretors makes their popcorn the old fashioned way, by hand, in copper kettles. Their snacks are also completely free of GMO’s, artificial colors or flavors. They even use Brown Rice Syrup instead of Corn Syrup in their Caramel Corn. The popped corn is also Kosher and naturally gluten free.
