Go Picnic

I have a love/hate relationship with convenience foods. I love the ease of use because often I just don’t have the time and sometimes I just don’t have the inclination to make something from scratch. What I don’t like is that you usually have to sacrifice, taste, variety, or health when you opt for easy. Go Picnic lets you have all of that - taste, variety and healthy options which are all easy and perfect for on the go!

First I want to say that I love the packaging. It is small enough to toss in your purse, desk drawer, briefcase, glove box, or even kids back pack. It really is travel friendly. Also once you are done with your meal, on the inside of the box is a fun Sudoku you can relax and solve. Something really nice to feel good about is that the packaging is made from 100% recycled fiber content!

I was really quite surprised by the variety of both what they offer and what you find inside each box. There are vegan and gluten free options, but please do read carefully when ordering because not all of the boxes are gluten free. All of the food in the meals is free of trans fat, high fructose corn syrup, and MSG.

The first box I tried, sunbutter + crackers, was vegan and gluten free. I have never had sunbutter, which is sunflower seed butter, before so that was pretty neat to get to try. It also had multi-grain crackers, seed & fruit trail mix, fruit bits, and a double chocolate cookie! See what I mean by variety? This is more variety than you usually see in a home packed or even store bought lunch.

The other box I tried was salami + cheese, and yes I shared the salami with a friend. Included was beef salami, some very tasty olive oil & sea salt crackers, asiago cheese spread, fruit & nut mix and chocolate cookie cluster. Again the variety was impressive as was the quality. The crackers and cheese spread were just so awesome.

My husband and I take a lot of day trips and these are perfect for tossing in your day bag! I also wish I had had such a nice option for all of the lunches I spent working at my desk. I can think of a myriad of times these would come in handy! If you can too I invite you to browse the website and see the great variety for yourself!
