Adorable Aliments? Giant Microbes!

I love the way learning has turned into something that is fun for kids. Some of the learning toys I've seen are just too cute! I have a really fun line of stuffed animals to tell you about that are not only absolutely adorable but also will help you teach your kids about microbes.

Giant Microbes introduces children to the world of microbes with a wide selection of stuffed toys. You will find everything from the common cold to malaria. They even have critters like labs rats and house flies!  Each microbe is available in a selection of sizes. For example if you wanted the flu you could choose between a small or large plush, a Petri dish which had three mini microbes or a vinyl Dr. Larkin.

With four dogs and a cat the microbe of choice for this house was the flea. I mean really, it’s high time we had a flea in the house that we could cuddle! I showed him to Patches and Cleo but they were not sure it could be trusted and their response was to want to chew it, so I had to put it safely out of the dogs reach. It really is the cutest flea I have ever seen! It's also very soft and easy to cuddle with. I think it is neat that it came with a card that has a lot of facts about fleas, some that were new to me.

Some of the other microbes that caught my eye (they are all so adorable) were the Martian life, Penicillin, Plasma and there is even a Heart Cell that beats when you press it!

Take some time and browse the selection they have. They even offer special holiday themed microbe boxes and other merchandise, as well as some really adorable panoramas! Next time you need a fun gift for a child or even an adult who is young at heart I’m sure you will be able to find the perfect microbe!

You can also stay up to date with the Giant Microbes newsletter and connect with them on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.

I have some great news too. One lucky My Empty Nest reader is going to win their own Giant Microbe, winners choice! Open to US residents 18 and older. Please use the rafflecopter below to enter. Winners have 48 hours to respond before another winner is drawn.
