Orijen Freeze Dried Treats From Chewy.com

You know I love to spoil my dogs and you may remember how much they loved the Orijen freeze dried treats from Chewy.com. They loved them so much that we were all pretty excited for them to try the new Orijen Freeze Dried Dog Food. They may have been a bit more excited than me and Andrew but you get the point.

They were lucky enough to get to try the Red Regional Variety, which is made with Angus Beef, wild boar, ranch raised lamb, heritage pork and free range bison. I’m a vegetarian but I wasn't always and even I can appreciated how delicious that sounds.  In addition to that it has fruits and vegetables from the Okanagan Valley.

Like with the treats what I really love about this is that it is made with real wholesome food that is not cooked but freeze dried to lock in all of the valuable nutrients. I also like that the ingredients are delivered fresh daily. It really is something I can feel good about feeding my babies.

This is a bit different to just pouring food in the bowl, as it needs to be reconstituted. It only takes a few minutes for that to happen. They come in medallions and after you have the right portioned amount you add water according to the instructions on the bag and wait 3 to 5 minutes. If you stir it, it will reconstitute faster.

The first time I fed the babies the new Orijen they ate it quickly like it was a treat and really I don’t blame them, I bet it was a treat compared to regular dog food. The next time it was so funny because I had put the bowls on the counter while it was reconstituting and they were seriously pacing back and fourth in the kitchen waiting. It’s a good thing it didn't take very long or they would have paced a worn spot in my floor!

Chewy.com has and awesome selection of food and treats for your dogs and cat. I invite you to browse the site and see the wonderful high quality foods they offer. In addition to food and treats you will find a selection of everything you need for your pets from toys to leashes. You can also connect with Chewy on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date with their latest products and sales.

Disclosure: I may receive products in exchange for an honest review. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I personally believe will be good for my readers.
