Lets start with the fabulous. The styles I have is the Flit in gray. The Flit is a ballerina style shoe with the strap across the top. All of the panels are stitched with a lovely blue stitching that goes beautifully with the gray. On the band there is a bit of elastic that gives it a custom comfortable fit. A bit of the sole wraps up into a wide to box too, which is super cute.
Extra specials features include the removable insole which is a great feature for me because I really don’t like an insole at all unless I am going to be walking a lot on a hard surface. So it’s really nice to be able to have the option. While we are doing all of our Fall site seeing I can have the extra support and them take it out of daily use. Plus they are made from closed-cell compounds, meaning they are naturally non-microbial.
The outsole has a really snazzy looking design but it more than superficially pleasing it grabs really good which I love because I am particularly clumsy and slip really easily for some reason. I have also noticed a lot of my ‘barefoot’ shoes are very slippy especially on the floors like you find in the grocery or supermarkets.
The upper is oil and water resistant which will keep water from soaking through and if you do get it wet it dries really quickly when left in the sun. When it needs clean you can actually put it in the washer and dryer! How cool is that? Make sure you don’t use detergent and dry is on a gentle cycle. Speaking of cool the fabric on the upper is sort of stretchy and actually conforms to your feet. You will seriously not find a better fitting or more comfortable shoe.
In addition to all of the great features and the cute styles these shoes are also made in a way that will leave a small eco-footprint. Not only are they made with recycled and recyclable materials but if you visit the website you can find out how to recycle your Kigo shoes after you have worn and loved them.
Now that I have been wearing these for a while and put them through their paces I have to admit I am seriously tempted to try the other Kigo styles because a girl can never have too many great pairs of shoes and I am digging the look of the Drive style to wear with more athletic clothes.
I know you are curious about getting your own pair, please visit the Kigo website for information about the styles, features, and the eco-friendly facts! You can also connect with Kigo on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date on news and sales!
