Loot Crate - Launch

Happy Loot Crate Day!! We’ve been chatting about Loot Crate for months but since we have lovely new readers everyday I’ll reiterate: Loot Crate is fabulous monthly subscription service for geeks and gamers. In each box you will get great mix of collectables and even shirts. It’s the first crate of the year and Loot Crate has launched into the year with a bang.

The theme this month is Launch and to a sci-fi geek like me that’s pretty exciting! Inside the box was:

A Superman Pop! Vinyl from Funko, which came in a few varieties and I received the DOMO. My dearest friend was the biggest Superman fan, ever. I mean he seriously had every Superman thing imaginable and was a serious fan. I still miss talking to him since we lost him and will keep this vinyl on my desk in his honor. It really is pretty cute and while I typically unbox and play with my collectables in honor of Rick I will leave this one in the box.

When most people think of space themed things Star Wars comes to mind. Well if you are a sci-fi fan it does. The Star Wars Galactic Phrase Book from Lucas Film and Random House is so much fun. I was giggling before I even cracked the cover, which by the way has the most adorable art work. It is written in a fun playful tone and has cute illustrations.

I think everyone in my family, well maybe not mom, is a gamer. The Minecraft 2014 calendar will certainly be fought over but if I am honest my husband is probably a bigger gamer than me, so I will let him win the battle for possession of this treasure.  It is a sixteen month mini calendar with great, fun, artwork that will go nice above his desk.

More fun for  Star Wars Fans is the Pocketmodels Trading Card Game. I haven’t played a trading card game in a long while but I used  to play Magic every weekend, so I am game, and I love that it is Star Wars. What’s really neat about this is you actually build the models so it’s a fun craft/game. The packets come with 4 to 8 models to build and 6 cards to build your deck with.

Growing up in the grater Orlando area NASA has always been a part of things. There was even a period where we lived  very close in Titusville. I have a lot of NASA memorabilia but nothing as  much fun as the NASA Meatball Emblem Patch! I think I might know the perfect place for this gem!

There were two wall graphics in the box  from Walls360. One was a melting Rubik’s Cube which is very cool. The second is a Star Trek Communicator Badge, which being a huge Star Trek fan was my favorite thing this month. I really, really need to get my hands on a proper communicator badge.

If you are a Looter you also know they often toss in a little bonus treat. In this box was a little First In Space Loot Crate button.  Also in every box is the awesome booklet that not only tells you about all of the goodies but also has fun extras, like this month’s crossword and exclusive content about Superman Cinema and more.

Loot Crate gets better every month. There is something in every box that makes my geeky little heart smile. With all this cool stuff I know you are itching to know how you can get your hands on such an epic subscription box. All you have to do is sign up here and for $13.37 you can have your very own Loot Crate delivered right to your door. Sign up today though because boxes are limited and with stuff this epic demand is high.

You can also stay up to date with fun extras and specials by following Loot Crate on Facebook and Twitter.

Disclosure: I may receive products in exchange for an honest review. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I personally believe will be good for my readers.
