Get Your Grind On With Ozeri

As you already know from previous posts, I love Ozeri and the great household products they offer. This go around, I got the chance to try out the Ozeri Duo Ultra Salt and Pepper Grinder. I have always preferred the taste of freshly ground salt as opposed to the pre-ground stuff. I think they might actually be two different kinds of salt, but I am unsure. I am no salt (or pepper) expert, I just know what my taste buds like!

I have wanted a salt and pepper grinder for a while now, but they are usually big, two-piece sets that just take up too much room on my small spice shelf. This duo grinder fixes that. Both the salt and pepper are stored in the same mill. It is super convenient and a huge space saver. The top piece that you twist to grind, comes off and reveals the filling chamber which is protected by a small, plastic sleeve. This sleeve protects against any cross contamination during use. 

On the bottom, there is a plastic piece that opens halfway. This piece easily comes off and can attach to the top to be used as a funnel. The design makes sure that you don't get salt in your pepper, or vice versa, when you are filling your mill. Just line up the walls on the bottom piece with the walls on the top and you are good to go. When you take off the bottom, you will notice two little knobs. These adjust the coarseness of the grind to your liking. They are easy to rotate but not marked, so I would save your manual for future reference. 

Though it didn't mention it in the manual, I like to remove the bottom piece when grinding. If you don't, your spices can get caught on it and collect inside instead of on your food. Overall, this grinder is super easy to use and works awesomely. I like that it is easily adjustable and I can get a coarser grind when I need one. I have been using this to season all of my meals and it has worked like a charm each time. The smaller size makes it easy to store as well!
