But when she brings back an antique locket, Finn enlists Tom’s and Jillian’s sleuthing skills. They hope to return the treasured item to its owner, but their search for answers is sidetracked when a body is found. Still, their sneaky cat’s find may just lead them to a killer.…
My Thoughts:
At first glance you might think this is about cats, and that cats are somehow involved in solving murders, which was my initial thoughts, but I am so glad I have a give it a go attitude because this was a great read where the cats were portrayed as cats! The characters were awesome and realistic, and like I said the cats behaved liked cats, that just happened to be beloved pets of the main characters.
The mystery had a lovely depth, that involved learning a bit about the messed up broken family and all it's quirks; quirks which gave me suspicions about more than a few people. I liked the pacing and tension and felt the conclusion was well done. I loved that even though I was jumping in at part seven it read like a first part and I didn't feel disadvantaged at all. I can't wait to see what in the Cats in Trouble series.
