I know you all have heard me shouting about how much I am enjoying coloring lately. It really has become my form of meditation and I am reaping all of the benefits, as if I had been actually meditating. I am so much more relaxed, but the very best part is that it has awakened my creative voice which had been asleep for years! I did look into that and found that coloring has been shown to stimulate creativity, who knew!?
The series Color me Mindful, is a series of adult coloring books that are designed with the most beautiful detail in order to help you release your stresses so that you can be more mindfully in the moment. This week's book that I have been sinking into and relaxing with is the book titled Birds.
As you might have figured from the title, all of the pages/designs are bird themed. I like to make a copy of the design I am working on so that I can use whatever media I am in the mood for without having to worry about it bleeding through and messing up other pictures.
I am still having a love affair with colored pencils, as they remind me of being a little girl. There were so many designs in this book to pick from, ranging from domestic birds to tropical parrots. The pages ranged from full and super detailed to one image. Even on the pages with one image, like the one I am coloring, shown here, you will see there is splendid detailing.
If you are looking for a great adult coloring book, this is the one. It has enough variety that you will find the perfect image for many moods. The images are so beautiful that coloring them will make your heart happy.
