ID On Me Review

I’m pretty sure I might have mentioned I have a chronic medical condition. In case I didn't, or you are just joining me, I have Addison’s Disease, which essentially means my body does not make adrenaline. Most of the time that is easy enough to fix with a daily steroid. However, if I were to be injured and unable to talk to doctors, they really need to know that before they do anything invasive I will need additional steroid. Or if the injury is bad enough I might need some as well. You know, to keep from going into shock or dying.  My doctor has been on me for better than seven years to get some kind of medical alert ID to wear.

It’s not that I didn't want to get one I just never saw one that grabbed me when I was in the mood to acknowledge I am sick, often I just want to feel normal and not think about it. When I first saw the ID On Me Medical ID and personal ID designs I was drawn by the simplicity and the colors offered. They are seriously offered in every color you would ever want.

I wanted the ID On Me Medical Bracelet because you can just put it on in the morning and forget about it being there. It has a adjustable stretchy wrist band that slides on easily. You don’t have to have these engraved, they come with waterproof inserts that you fold and put into the waterproof compartment. There were plenty of extra insets too, in case you mess up or need to change something.

I did want to test the waterproof compartment. I put a balled up piece of tissue paper inside, that way I could easily tell if water got inside, and then ran it under the tap for a good long time. I wanted to simulate showering, washing dishes, getting caught in the rain etc. When I opened it, the compartment and the tissue paper, were both totally dry.

I also received the ID On Me Identification Pendant which can be used in many ways. I personally used it as a dog tag. As you know I have 4 dogs that are my world, and I feel better knowing that if they did get out and go for a stroll without us, that whoever found them could bring them home, or give us a call to come get them. This pendant would also be awesome as a necklace, on a keychain, as a zipper pull, or on a backpack.

There is a great sense of freedom in knowing that as I venture out away from my husband and if something should happen the right people will know what they need to in order to help me. Even if you don’t have a medical condition having an ID On Me would be useful for traveling, seniors, children and pets.

Please browse the ID On Me site and find the perfect design for you in your favorite color! You can also connect with them on Facebook.
