Nayad Aqua Sportswear Review & Giveaway

Summer brings with it many fun adventures, one of which is finding the perfect swimsuit. As you might know, ladies especially, that can be a challenge. Often when I find the perfect top it comes with not so perfect bottoms or the reverse. It is frowned upon to switch around and mix and match bottoms and tops in some places, never mind that most of use don’t wear the same size bottoms and tops! Not mention there is always just one thing I would change, like strap style, even on the suit I usually end up with. 

Nayad has solved the problem of finding the perfect suit by custom making your suit to your measurements and preferences! You heard me right, a one of a kind suit made just for you! The shopping experience is unlike any I have had and was so much fun. You get a perfect fit because like I said this suit is made with the measurements you provide, but above that the options are amazing. 

For tops there are two kinds Aqua Sport Bras & Aqua Fitness Tops. The only difference between the two is the fitness top covers your mid section. I opted for the fitness top because I have bad mommy marks and I just don’t wander about with my midsection showing. Once you pick the top, you get to pick how the front of the top will rest: cross over v, scoop, deep v, or v with an insert.  I picked the v with insert because I prefer to be a bit discreet and I am a little top heavy. For the back you can pick: racer back, x back, or v back. I picked the racer just from personal preference! 

 Isn’t that awesome to have so many options? But the top options carry on, now you get to pick the material. For me I had three sections to pick. The breast section, torso and v insert. You can mix and match any of the solids and prints to suit your personal taste.  

For the bottoms you have three styles to pick from: Aqua bottoms (bikini type), Aqua Shorts and Aqua Skirts. It took me a while to settle on my style but I opted for the shorts because I knew they would serve a multi function, which I will get to. On the shorts, after I gave my measurements, I had the option of a one inch elastic waist or a big fold over band. I picked the fold over for comfort sake.  Then I was able to pick the fabric of the shorts and the waistband.

I have never had such control over my swimsuit shopping experience; it was truly a joy to shop for a swimsuit this way! I was very excited when it arrived and so happy that it happened to turn up on a yoga day! That second use I mentioned is active wear. All Nayad suits are made of such a quality that they are designed to be used as both active wear and swimsuits. You can wash them on gentle with your delicate detergent, use cold for the sake of longevity, and line dry them, because we all know how hard the dryer is on spandex!

Speaking of spandex, I have to say that the material is perfect for both swimming and working out. I love the way it feels. It moves perfectly and breaths right, in case you get really active. The quality of the stitching is wonderful as well. I couldn’t be happier with my suit! The top never needing tugging or readjusting and the waist on the shorts was perfect and never cut into me no matter how I contorted!

I love that it will work for yoga and workouts as well as swimming, because lets face it, more often than not a swimsuit sits in the draw waiting for you to find some vacation time, but your active wear gets used several times a week! That makes my Nayad Aqua Sportswear one of the most used pieces in my whole wardrobe.
