Beanitos

As a vegetarian I have had beans in almost every imaginable way. They are so versatile and tasty, I would feel safe saying I have them at least every other day. I had never tried bean chips before; when I first heard about them I was very excited. My favorite snack food and my favorite meal food in one - that just sounded all win to me.

Beanitos bean chips are just as fantastic as I expected. I love that I get all of the benefits of beans and all of the pleasure of crispy chips. Being bean based and corn free you aren't just getting empty calories when you snack, you are getting protein and fiber - it’s almost like you aren't snacking nutritionally speaking. They are also gluten free and certified low glycemic.

They come in four great varieties:

Pinto Bean & Flax Chips have a very unique taste that I would guess was from the flax. They are very crisp and wonderful with cheese dips or on their own. There was not a single mystery ingredient on the label and for me that is always a huge bonus.

Pinto Bean & Flax Cheddar Cheese is the same great chip as above but dusted with cheddar cheese and I am huge believer that anything, even wonderful things, can be improved with cheese. These are perfect on their own.

Black Bean Chips are my favorite of all of the varieties! It came as no surprise to me either because black beans are my favorite beans. They are so crispy and tasty, you won’t even believe you are snacking better! I loves these on their own, with salsa, cheese dip, and even with sliced cherry tomatoes.

Black Bean Chipotle BBQ are the same great chips as the black bean variety but with an awesome kick! I mean a really awesome kick. I have a taste for spicy things and wow these were spicy, not at all for tender tongued snackers. You won’t need any dips to complement these, they are perfect as is. Open and enjoy.
