EatSmart Precision PRO digital kitchen scale

So far I’ve lost 70lbs, and yes gained back 10 - but that is another story. The main way I lost weight was by calculating my calorie intake and output. There is one tool that made this so much easier for me and took away a lot of the guess work - a good kitchen scale.

The first thing I noticed and loved is that it runs on regular AAA batteries. That may not seem like a big deal initially but trust me it is. I can’t begin to express what a pain it was finding those little round batteries in the right size in my small town. Even after hunting them down sometimes they only lasted a week! With that in mind, regular batteries is a huge requirement for me in a scale.

It has super easy buttons and while it comes with a great manual that has all sorts of valuable calorie information you will not ‘have’ to read it to use the scale because it is very intuitive. The on/off button is also the Tare function button.

You will come to love the Tare function because it allows you to make your whole plate one food type at a time. You just hit Tare after you've weighed the first thing then it sets you back to zero and you can weigh your next food item. This is such a handy feature for me because I like to add a selection of raw vegetables to my lunch and dinner and it makes weighing each type so easy.

The button marked unit allows you to change what units you are weighing in. It measures in grams, kilograms, ounces and pounds. I find this extremely handy because I am not known for my math skills and it saves me converting from one measurement to the other. I use grams most often because that is usually how calories are listed on nutrition labels.

I love the size, it is very compact and will fit easily on your counter or even in a drawer when not in use. Some added bonus features are that it has an automatic turn off after 3 minutes, which will save you batteries should you forget to shut it off. It also has a two year full warranty.
