Mediterranean Snacks

You all know that I’m a snacker, and you also know I’m trying to eat better while watching my weight. The two don’t always go hand in hand, so when I find a snack that not only tastes good but fits into a healthy diet, I get pretty excited! Mediterranean Snacks offers a great selection of snacks for those of us looking for something that is just as tasty, but better for us than traditional chips and snack crackers.

Gluten free, and at only 110 calories a delicious serving, I quickly fell in love with the Rosemary Herb Lentil Crackers. They are also low fat and a great source of protein. We frequently have lentils in soups, so I was pretty curious about trying these. They are light and very crisp and have a wonderful rosemary flavor that goes perfect with a sliced tomato, olive, and a dash of mustard!

The Parmesan Garlic Baked Lentil Chips were also gluten free, and low calorie at only 110 a serving. They have 70 percent less fat than regular chips, and hold up much better with dips. I tried these on their own at first because I just love garlic and wanted to be able to taste the flavor - it was perfect on it’s own. The only reason I even pulled out the cream dip was to see how it held up, which was also perfect.

The Sea Salt Baked Lentil Chips share the same great qualities of the Parmesan Garlic Baked Lentil Chips, and are just as delicious. They have a lightly salted flavor, and are a perfect complement to a huge variety of dips. I had them with both a ranch and a honey mustard dip. I also just love that the bags have recipes for dips on them. They all sound so delicious - I’ve been writing then down!

Now my favorite! Olive Tapenade Hummuz Crisps, wow! These are crispy, and sturdy, and so very tasty. These are delicious just straight out of the bag - and if you top then with your favorite soft cheese it is heavenly!

It is fantastic to have such a great variety of great tasting snack alternatives for when you want a healthier, more purposeful, snack.  Please take sometime to browse the wonderful selection on their website and find out where you can grab some of your own great tasting Mediterranean Snacks! If you don't have a store near you you can easily grab your own bags from Amazon or Alice.
