TheraPearl Hot and Cold Therapy

Aches and pains are almost a daily issue for me with the fun combination of arthritis, fibro, gout and crazy sinus headaches.  You would think by now I would just be immune to pain but I’m not. It seems like I always need some sort of hot or cold applied to some achy parts!

Of course hot water bottles can be a pain and rice socks well they get gross really fast. On the cold end by the time I freeze any cold packs they become ridged and almost useless until they melt some, which sort of defeats the point. By now you all should know I don’t gripe to you unless I have some good news too and I do. I found a solution to both my hot and cool therapy needs all in one great product. TheraPearl.

Inside the packs are little pearls that you can freeze or heat depending on your needs. What I was really surprised by was that when I froze them they stay separate beads allowing it to conform to the spot I was applying it to. That’s so useful, now I don’t have to play the freeze and thaw game to get things just right. For ice therapy you just need to have it in the freezer for about two hours. I recommend having one that you leave in the freezer, that way it’s ready when you need it.

When you need heat therapy the TheraPearl pouches go in the microwave. It tells you right on the pouch how long to heat it for. I love that it’s right there where I need it because I am forgetful and seldom keep boxes. The two I used were both under a minute, which means hot relief can be ready fast.

I’m really excited by how well this worked for me. TheraPearl offers a wide range of shapes to fit your needs. The first one I tried was the Sport Pack, which is a square pack about the size of my hand with fingers included, so a nice size for the twisted ankle I needed it for. I should know better than to walk up the trails without looking down by now. I was able to have almost instant heat thanks to these awesome pearls and my sweet husband.
