Aveeno Pure Renewal

As someone with sensitive skin, Aveeno is a brand I often turn to for my skincare needs. Until recently I had yet to try their hair care products. When I saw the Pure Renewal collection I was instantly drawn to it because of the active natural technology I trust in their other products. I have pretty dry, thin, and frizzy hair which is especially challenging in the winter.

Like most people the first thing I did with the shampoo was pop the top and sniff. It passed the sniff test with flying colors having a light fresh and not overly perfume-y fragrance. The texture in your hand is a rich, creamy, smooth texture and it lathers wonderfully. It leaves your hair feeling squeaky clean and fresh.

This shampoo uses seaweed extract to lift away impurities and moisturize in a way that restores your hairs optimal moisture. It can be used on all hair types, even color treated hair and is sulfate free, paraben free, and synthetic dye free. It uses Natrasurf technology which uses a cleansing agent derived from potato starch that minimizes the amount of cleansers needed, is biodegraded and gentle on you hair.

The conditioner also uses the same active natural technology and has the same beautiful, light scent. It has a nice, creamy texture in your  hand and gently softens your hair without leaving any heavy residues. The end result for me was soft, light hair that had a hint of the light scent left over. This is also safe for all hair types including color treated hair.

I couldn’t be more happy with how soft and bouncy my hair is after using the Aveeno Pure Renewal line. I also love that the scent lingers in a way that isn’t overpowering but if you move just right you can smell it throughout the day. In this line they also have a dry shampoo which I will be picking up as I use dry shampoos a lot and would love to try theirs.

Aveeno is available at national food, drug, and mass merchandisers. You can find out more about this line as well the other great products for  you and your family on the Aveeno website. You can also follow them on Facebook to stay up to date with new products so you don’t miss a beautiful thing.

Disclosure: I may receive products in exchange for an honest review. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I personally believe will be good for my readers.
