Dew Drop Radiant Blush ($30) comes in a round compact with a mirror, perfect for travel and touch-ups. The shade I tested is called Sandalwood which is a lovely lighter shade - perfect to blend with all of your looks. It has some speckles of golds, silvers and pearl throughout that give it some sparkle. It goes on so soft and smooth and did I mention the shimmer… I really love the glint when it catches the light. Plus I really didn’t have to reapply because it lasted all day.
Also for cheeks was the Lip & Cheek Gel Stain ($24) Now I have used, and love, lip stains but I had never tried a cheek stain before. First, I want to mention that is paraben and gluten free! It has the features I love in my stains, it is waterproof, kiss proof and doesn’t come off when I eat or drink. Even my coffee didn’t budge it! When you use this on your cheeks you get a natural looking flush that stays all day as well. I simply love it for both lips and cheeks!
Sticking with lips there was Silk Velour Lipstick ($23) which, as the name suggests, goes on like silk and is so smooth and soft. The shade I received is called Mulberry which is a deep cranberry type of shade. It has great coverage and some staying power as well. I love that it goes on with full coverage in one coat. It also has a bit of reflectiveness which adds some dimension. Plus, it has vitamins A, C, and E so you lips will feel as great as they look. I did mention that coverage… it has awesome pigment… just awesome.
Next, moving to the eyes, Starlette Gel Eye Stain ($24). I have never used an eye stain before so this a nice surprise. It has pearls that are suspended in gel. They have great pigment as you would expect in a stain. The best part is that it is easy to use, it glides on evenly and leaves you with water-resistant color and sparkle. It starts a transparent, sheer texture and glimmer and can be layered for a more dramatic, long-lasting look. The applicator is a doe foot, felt-tip pen, which really gives a mess-proof application. These are gluten, oil, and paraben-free. I received this in the lovely golden green shade called Chartreuse Veil, and really want all of the shades!
The last product I want to talk about won the 2014 editors pick from totalbeauty.com for best eyeliner: The Crème Gel Eyeliner ($25). This eyeliner has a richly pigmented formula which is enhanced with a subtle pearl finish that gives added depth and dimension. Ranging from rich, vibrant blues to opulent earth tones, the delicate pearls give multi-dimension to the liners so they never look dull or flat. It is also easily blendable, making it ideal to also use as a long-wearing eyeshadow. I found that it lasted all day with no loss of color and no flaking either! If nothing else you will want this eyeliner.. In every shade. I have the Felis Brown.. For now.
