COVERGIRL #GirlsCan

Have you ever faced something where you felt that you couldn’t do it? Sometimes us ladies let fear get the best of us. The COVERGIRL #GirlsCan campaign promotes the empowerment of women by encouraging them to break down barriers and turn “can't” into “can.” COVERGIRL knows that #GirlsCan do anything they put their mind to. 

Part of putting on my brave face includes putting on my makeup. There is something empowering about knowing you are looking your best and it has really helped me brave my "can’t" moments. Which is why I really love that as part of this campaign COVERGIRL is turning “can’t” into “can” by donating $50,000 to Dress for Success. 

Dress for Success is an international not-for-profit organization that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing  professional attire, a network of support, and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and life.

One of my biggest can’t moments was when I had to go from stay at home mom to single parent. It was a huge step for me because I battle social phobia which, at times, has left me housebound. But I did it! I put on my game face, with COVERGIRL and went to work everyday. No one ever knew of the internal battles I fought and I am so happy to say that my lovely daughter has become a strong woman herself with two beautiful children  - she is a real can do girl.
