To achieve the quality you want you will first need the right tools. You may well remember that I have awesome set of crochet hooks from Knitter’s Pride so, of course, that was where I went to find great quality Tunisian hooks. They offer several types of Tunisian hooks but I was drawn to the Tunisian bamboo set.
Since you know I will soon have twenty projects on the go, I loved that this set comes with eight hooks and that they are all of the commonly used hooks, E-L. There are four cords and 4 cord keys for when you are working on the larger projects; 1 Cord each of 24" & 40" and 2 Cords of 32" and a set of cord connectors. Plus there are 8 end caps if you want to use it without the cords or of you want to hold the project and use the hook for something else.
They are all kept so neatly in a lovely green fabric case, which has a vinyl see-through pane on the front. It has a zipper and a pocket inside that holds all of the bits and bobs as well as any pattern notes you might want to stuff in.
The hooks themselves are made from finest quality, Japanese bamboo and have a perfectly smooth finish. They do give a bit more grab than the metal hooks I am used to but they do not catch or snag yarn at all. In fact, for my more fiddly pattern where I want more grab I will be turning to these and using them as I would any single ended hook. The ferrules and connectors are plated with 24 karat gold, finishing off the classic look of these hooks.
You should really head over to Knitter’s Pride because no matter what kind of needles or hooks you prefer, from metal to wood, single or set they have top quality supplies for you at great prices. Also, make sure you connect with them on Facebook and Twitter because they have such fun promotions and awesome specials.
