PetBox

As someone who spoils their pets, to say I have tried a lot of pet treats and subscription services would be more than fair. Occasionally something stands out to me as being extra special and I get excited to be able to share that with you. PetBox is really an exciting subscription service for me. We were so lucky to get to try the February PetBox which contained items that related to National Pet Dental Health Month.

Not all subscribers will have received what I did because one of the really neat things about PetBox is that when you sign up you tell them if you have dogs, cats, or both, as well the sizes and then you can either let them surprise you with what is in the box or you can decide what you want in your box! I couldn't have been happier with the surprises in this box.

The Aussie Ear ($1.50) Water Buffalo ears are high in minerals and Omega 3, which makes them a healthy natural chewing treat perfect to keep your dog’s teeth in shape. We have had ears before but Water Buffalo ears were new to us and Patches was all to happy to give this a proper chew test for us.

The Bistro Bites Peanut Butter & Applesauce ($6) were a hit with all four dogs, but I think my mama's boy, Fudge, was just head over heels for them. They were a perfect small size which is good for smaller dogs or for training with your larger dogs. The very best part about these is that there are only 3 ingredients: applesauce, peanut butter, and buckwheat flour. That is a better ingredients list than I see when I am shopping for myself. I love something that I can feel good about giving to my babies.

The Furminator Long Hair/Small Dogs ($37) is a very high value item for a subscription box and on it's own makes this box a great value. My dogs are not long hair dogs but they do leave hair everywhere, so I am really glad to be able to use this and get some control over the amount of hair they leave throughout the house. It has a great button on it that helps you push the hair out too so it is really easy to clean. All of the dogs really enjoyed the way it felt too and appreciated the extra attention. I think they thought they were just getting an extra scratch rather than a brushing.

The Honest Kitchen Quickies ($10) were also approved by all four dogs and the smell even attracted the attention of my cat Sam. I wasn’t surprised because I noticed the smell as soon as I opened them. Being made from 100% dehydrated Haddock gives them a strong and distinctive scent, as well as being another treat I can feel great about feeding my babies. These came in a cute Valentine's Day packaging and were heart shaped. The size was perfect for smaller dogs and for training larger dogs.

The InClover Glow Skin & Coat ($8.99) are different in that they are treats with a purpose. They have protein, DHA Omega-3 fatty acid, Biotin, and Zinc from eggs and algal Omega-3 sources. What that means is they are like a supplement to help your dog’s skin and fur. These were a bit larger but my dogs had no issues eating them in one bite. They are a bright yellowish shade and shaped almost like flower head.

I was excited to the Tropiclean Clean Teeth Gel ($9.47) because I have heard great things about it and I have been looking for a way to clean the dogs teeth that didn’t involve brushing. This is a tooth gel that that needs no brushing at all! It smells great and also leaves the dog's breath smelling great, which is no small feat.

The value of this box was $73 which is really fantastic when you consider that depending on which plan you pick the cost of PetBox is $39 per month down to $29 per month. Plus for each box they ship they also donate $3 to animal rescue. The high quality of the items included was really impressive, these are all fantastic, full-sized things for your pets to try, so you will get a really good idea of if they like it before you buy it.
