Engage Green Stars Satchel

I have a real love for a pretty bag. I think most women do. I also have a real love for eco-friendly products. So as you might imagine I was pretty happy when my awesome new eco-friendly Stars Satchel arrived from Engage Green.

Starting from a strictly bag perspective it is adorable and the colors go wonderfully with Fall fashions. It is also super roomy. I was able to fit everything from my other bag in and organized it neatly in the compartments. It also the extra space for me toss in the random things we often grab for longer trips.

The very first time using it I was caught in one of the many surprise Kansas storms and was thrilled that the water just wiped off no harm no foul and it didn’t soak through. It is my guess that is due to the material it’s made from, which brings me to the eco-friendly part.

The satchel is made from PETE bottle fiber. I feel even more fabulous carrying my new satchel, because I know I have rescued our Earth from even more plastic going into landfills and given the ’trash’ a glamorous new life. Some facts from Engage Green about the fabric: around 18 bottles of 16 ounce pete soda makes one yard of fabric. 4800 recycled 16 ounce bottles save a cubic yard of landfill. According to the EPA recycling 1 pound of plastic containers [PETE] save approximately 12,000 BTU’s per yard. Now knowing that you will feel pretty fabulous carrying your new satchel too!

Even the front pocket is roomy.
