Smartfood Selects

As much I have tried, I just have not been able to leave behind my love of snacking - especially salty snacking. Thankfully there has been a really pleasant trend now thought leaning toward healthier snacking options. Smartfood Selects are a fantastic snacking option for the heath conscious. In fact they taste so good even people who aren’t seeking healthy options will love them. I was supper surprised that not only did they not taste less indulgent than other snacks they were actually more flavorful.

What makes them healthier than other snack options is that they have all-natural ingredients, real herbs and spices, are kosher, have 0 grams of Trans Fat and no MSG. You can really taste the difference too, they have an overall fresher taste. There is no lack of selection either as they offer them in a wide variety:  Popcorn: Buffalo Cheddar, Cinnamon Brown Sugar, Parmesan Herb. Puffed Corn: Sour Cream Onion Flavored. Popped Chips: Feta Herb Hummus, Garlic Tomato Basil Hummus, Cinnamon Brown Sugar Multigrain, Italian Herb Multigrain.

I was lucky enough to get to try three of the varieties. My favorite was the Sour Cream and Onion Puffed Corn.  I have always loved puffed corn snacks but they do tend to be on the greasy side and I am fairly certain they are not all natural. These were so light and flavorful. Each and every one had a perfect amount of flavor. Also I didn’t find a single greasy piece and trust me I ate every single piece just to make sure - I wanted to be able to report back accurately. The Garlic Tomato Basil Popped Chips were fantastic as well! They had a lovely rich flavor and nice thickness which gave them a crunch.  The Cinnamon Brown Sugar Multigrain Popped Chips were a great way to satisfy my sweet tooth. They reminded me a lot of a cinnamon treat you can get at certain Mexican fast food restaurant except these are much better for you.

I also really like that the large bag was resalable. I’ve never seen that before on this type of snack and I think it is very responsible to encourage people not to eat the whole bag - though I’m sure the taste will tempt them to. It’s a very easy to use zip-lock type of seal, no more hunting around for chip clips. And yes, I did reseal to come back to later - how much later I just won’t say.

Disclosure: I received these products for free through BzzAgent, no other compensation was given. My opinion is my own and may differ from yours.
