Her Universe Review & Giveaway

A few nights ago I finished watching the last episode of the new Battlestar Galactica with my husband. I am a Sci-Fi fanatic, and it always makes me a little sad when I get to the end of a series, because it seems good science fiction shows that I haven’t seen yet are in short supply. Being such a fan, I do like to wear clothes and t-shirts to show my love for my favorites in the genre. However, most fan shirts and miscellany seem to be geared toward men - as if to say us ladies don’t share in the love for this fabulous genre!

In the past I've typically settled for men’s shirts or lounge pants, and just reveled in the coolness of the design while ignoring the poor fit. But all of that is over now that I have found the coolest store ever - I mean ever! Her Universe, is a science fiction fan shop for her. They have everything the fabulous lady fans of the genre could want - and some really awesome things I didn't even know I wanted, but now think I might have to have!

They offer everything from jewelry and hoodies to t’shirts and pajamas - all with the designs from your favorite science fiction shows like Dr.Who or Star Trek. I personally had to pick something from Star Trek and BSG, well because I had too!

My first pick was the Star Trek Uhura Tee, which is an awesome quality shirt that you can wear as part of a costume, or everyday as you are going boldly to face your day. It is an easily recognizable iconic shirt design, and the fit is awesome! It is a super soft feminine material, which is a cotton and polyester blend that lays beautifully.

For my other pick I needed to show some Battlestar love, and picked the BSG Grey Seal Racer Tank. This tank was inspired by the tanks you see the pilots wearing most of the time, and has the BSG seal on it as well. It is made from a blend of polyester, rayon and spandex giving it a very feminine feel and a flattering cling.

Both shirts are super high quality and neither have tags (you all already know how much tags can annoy me), so that was a bonus. They are also machine washable, and don't require any special care.
