Rollie Vertical Grill Review

I'll be honest, my breakfast usually isn't too fancy and that is because I’m not really much of a morning person. However, when it comes to trying new kitchen appliances I like to be first in line and my husband really loves to be my test kitchen taster! I love to experiment in the kitchen, but like I said just don‘t have the alertness to try anything new before breakfast.

I have a very cool, fun, time saving, and super creative appliance to tell you about today. It’s called the Rollie and it’s a vertical grill that makes everything from eggs to mini pizzas in a way you've never seen before.

My very favorite thing about the Rollie is how easy it is to use. I can even use it first thing in the morning, before coffee, without a problem. In fact the very first time I used it was to make some eggs and crackers. I love eggs for breakfast but typically I opt for toast because I don’t want to stand over a frying pan. With the Rollie here’s how my morning goes:

Spray non stick spray in the Rollie and plug it in. A red light comes on to indicate it has power. While I wait for it to warm I crack my egg and mix it with 5 crackers. You can also add about an eighth of a cup of cheese if desired. By the time it’s mixed the Rollie is ready and the green light is on to let me know. I pour in the egg mixture and then finish making coffee, etc. By the time my coffee is poured the egg is rising out of the top of the Rollie. I like mine extra crispy so I flip it around and drop it back in for a few extra minutes.

After being spoiled by how easy it was to make eggs I decided to try something a little more advanced. I tried another breakfast food that I don’t often feel like tackling in the morning.  French Toast is one of my favorite things to order when I eat out, but I can seldom be bothered to make it at home. The Rollie makes it super easy to have wonderful French toast - even with groggy no coffee brain. The only real difference with this one was I needed to use the rod that came with the Rollie to push the ingredients down in the grill. Other than that is was just as easy and I had some tasty French toast!

Up next was a household favorite, Pizza. This pizza is made with biscuits as the dough, which is a really neat idea that hadn't occurred to me before. You just take two biscuits and roll them out, then top as you would a pizza. You’ll want to load it sparingly as you will need it to roll up and fit it down into the Rollie. I made my first too big and that was a mess, but once I figured out the right size it was very easy. Use the opening as a gauge for what size to make your pizza rolls. In no time you will have awesome little pizza rolls that make wonderful finger food.

The cleanup is a breeze. All you do is unplug the Rollie and use the brush that comes with it and some dish soap. Be careful not to wet the plug and don’t submerge the Rollie. Once it is dry you are ready to make your next creation.

I know what you are thinking - where can I get my own Rollie? Check out this commercial for details. See the egg mess with the traditional breakfast? That was so me before the Rollie.
