Stone Earth Pan by Ozeri

I love spending time with my husband and one of our favorite ways to spend time together is cooking. We have all stainless steel because my husband, and I say this lovingly, is very hard on non-stick cookware! In fact I threw out our old pans because I was worried about the chemicals from the compromised coating getting into our food. I just found a wonderful pan that has me braving the non-stick idea again.

The Stone Earth Pan by Ozeri is wonderful in so many ways. It has a naturally stone derived Stonehenge coating from Germany. This coating makes it non-stick and yet it is free from PFOA, the harmful chemical found in traditional cookware. More wonderful bonuses are that it is free of heavy metals, scratch resistant (which will help with my husbands heavy hand), and the coating is completely eco-friendly and fume free.

The first thing I noticed was that this is a sturdy pan, you can just feel that in the weight of it compared to most. The handle is an awesome, comfortable, silicone coated handle. Also, this pan can go in the oven, how cool is that? Do be careful and use a mitt when removing it! But the best of all to me is the easy, easy, no stick clean-up!

Before you use the pan it is recommended that you season it, similar to what you do with cast iron but a simpler process. You use about a half a teaspoon of oil, I used olive oil, and rub it evenly over the surface of the pan. Make sure you wipe away and excess with a paper towel.

I should also mention that this pan is very effective and you will not and should not cook on high heat. It will cook your food faster than normal, so the first few times you use it you will want to watch things carefully so that you don’t burn them.

This wonderful pan is available on Amazon along with many other great Ozeri products! Is there a meal you have to have non-stick for?

Disclosure: I may receive products in exchange for an honest review. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I personally believe will be good for my readers.
