Whimseybox Review & Giveaway

I really like to think of myself as crafty but if I am being honest I don’t often think of new craft projects on my own. In fact, I seldom make time for crafts at all. It’s not for lack of want I really, honestly just forget how much I love to relax with a fun project.

Whimseybox is a wonderful subscription service that will give me a monthly reminder of just how much I do love crafts. I simply love the idea of having a new craft delivered right to my door. Everything you need to complete the craft as well as instructions come in the box!

When I opened the box I really liked the presentation. It was wrapped and tied with a pretty ribbon. When I opened it everything was resting on top of a bed of confetti.  I could tell it would be melting something but I admit I had to read the card to figure out what it was.

This box had everything you need to make your own peppermint lip balm and a few extra fun things tossed in. It included castor oil, beeswax, peppermint oil, a dropper, three popsicle sticks,  three tins, three fun buttons, and some stickers.

The project was really easy and would be a fun one to work on with children. The first thing you do is measure out the ingredients and then melt them over a pot of heated water. Then you let it cool and test the constancy. You can easily make adjustments to the constancy by reheating and adding more oil or wax. When you get it just right you can fill your tins.

Imagine the fun you could have with a new mystery craft delivered to your door each month! Please take a moment to browse the Whimseybox site and read more about this great service. When you get done make sure you come back and enter to win a box! Please use the rafflecopter below to enter. Open to US residents 18 and older. Winner will have 48 hours to respond before another winner is drawn.

  2. I never have the time to collect stuff to be creative with crafts, so if it was already ready to go I think I would actually do it. Sounds like fun.

  14. I love arts and crafts, but hardly have time to research a project I want to do, go buy all the supplies, and then figure out how to put it all together! In this box, it all comes nicely packaged with instructions - idea included! I love that!

  18. I feel like you. I like to do crafts, but they're not the first thing to come to mind when I have down time. This seems like the Jenny Craig of crafting. Instead of having food in the fridge, you get crafts to work on. Sounds like a lot of fun!
