Fabulous Emmi Swiss Fondue

Have you ever had fondue? Believe it or not, as much as I like chocolate I had never tried chocolate fondue. This week I got to try something new! I love trying things for the first time. I had some frozen berries on hand and was very excited to get to try this special treat.

Emmi Swiss Fondue is so easy to use that I was able to have my extremely exquisite snack ready in less than five minutes. This fondue is designed to melt perfectly in the microwave, so it really couldn't get easier. I opened the box, poured out the amount I needed, and microwaved it for a minute. Once it comes out of the microwave you stir it until it is smooth. If it needs more time you need to stop and stir it every minute. I found it melted perfectly after just one minute.

Of course the first thing I did was just taste the chocolate on its own. It is creamy, smooth, rich and tastes like a very fine chocolate should. There was something to it that was different to just melted chocolate, it certainly was smoother and creamier. It had a decadent taste that made a perfect complement to the strawberries and cherries I had thawed.

Another great use for this would be making smores at home! I loved having smores when we went camping as kids but I am not really an outdoorsy type grownup and I really can’t recall the last time I had smores. However there is no outdoor open fire needed! All you would need is some Emmi fondue, graham crackers and marshmallows.

If having smores with fondue sounds awesome to you, you will want to check out the great sweepstakes on the Emmi facebook page to win a gourmet smores kit! You can enter everyday now through August 9th to increase your chances of winning.

In addition to this wonderful fondue Emmi also makes, other flavors of fondue, Swiss yogurt, and specialty and traditional cheeses from Switzerland.  For more information on their product line please visit the Emmi website.
