Loot Crate #Survive

It’s Loot Crate time again! I know most of you know this, but for the new readers, Loot Crate is an awesome monthly subscription service that is packed just for geeks, gamers, nerds etc… if you, like me, are even remotely a geek at heart you need this service. Each month has its’ own theme and the theme of the October box was Survive!

I don’t mind saying my little heart was so happy to see a zombie box! If I had to pick my favorite monster type it would be zombies, hands down, no contest. I think that is mainly because zombies still scare me. Seriously, I actually refuse to watch or read anything zombie after dark. But I know what you want to know was what was in the box.

First I wanted to mention, most monthly boxes have a card that tells you what is inside, Loot Crate has a booklet that not only tells you about your loot but this month also had an interview with Max Brooks… I know you all know who that is and why it’s so cool. It also had a list of Loot Crate’s top 5 zombie movies, all of which I have seen and love of course.

Now then the epic loot!

From GraphicLab was a fabulous shirt! The Ewoking Dead, how cool is that? GraphicLab is an awesome shirt company, definitely worth checking out. I have several cool shirts from them and as with the rest, the Ewoking Dead shirt is soft, comfy, and held up great in the washing machine. Aside from that you will be hard pressed to find a shirt this cool anywhere else. Can you tell I love it?

I have been considering picking up The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks and was over the moon to see it included in the box. This book alone is worth the price of the box. My husband and I are going to have to fight over who gets to read it first.

From Loot Crate Labs was a set of temporary tattoos.  One a bite that would be great for a Halloween costume and the other a not infected tattoo with a bar code. We dressed up as zombies last year and my husband will probably again this year, so I’ll save the bite tattoo for him. I’m sweet like that.

Also from Loot Crate Labs was a Zombie Hunter ID Card! The card is license size and will easily go in most wallets. It reminds of the fun ID cards I used to get at conventions.

Loot Crate Labs was busy this month! They also included a set of 3 8-Bit Zombie Buttons. The hand and medic symbol were indeed very cool, but my favorite was the crossbow. It’s funny how the crossbow is now a symbol associated with zombie defense. I know, I know, he is my favorite too! Long live Daryl.

From OpenMe was a cool Love Your Guts zombie card. I personally found it adorable and will save this to surprise my husband with. I love to give him little love notes and he will totally get the sentiment of this card.

A little fuel for zombie hunting was included from Candy Warehouse in the form of Creepy Body part candies. I got a grape filled marshmallow eye - yummy!

And as a nice bonus a $5 off code for use at GraphicLab! Now I get to go shirt shopping! I know you are itching to know how you can get your hands on such an epic subscription box. All you have to do is sign up here and for $13.37 you can have your very own Loot Crate delivered right to your door. Sign up today though because boxes are limited and with stuff this epic demand is high.

Disclosure: I may receive products in exchange for an honest review. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I personally believe will be good for my readers.
