Getting Creative With Butterfinger Bites

Butterfinger Bars are one of my husbands all time favorite candy  bars. Something about the Crispity Crunchity bars just drives him wild. I decided for the holidays I would make him something special using Butterfingers.

The Butter finger Bites are not only easier to snack on due to the size but they are also easier to use to cook with. They are easy to break up and also easier to measure. Plus whatever I have left over in bag I can just toss in my husband’s lunch the next day.

I decided to make Marbled Peanut Butter Pie AKA the new favorite dessert in this house

You can use a store bought cookie crust or…
15-20 crushed sandwich cookies, 1 tbsp melted margarine, 1-½ tbsp water mix well and flatten into the bottom of a pie pan.

½ cup creamy peanut butter
3oz cream cheese- softened
½ tsp vanilla
1 cup powdered sugar
½ cup milk
1 8oz tub whipped topping- thawed
½ cup crushed Butterfinger Bites
½ cup semi sweet chocolate chips

Beat peanut butter, cream cheese, and vanilla on medium until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and milk beating until smooth. Fold in cool whip. Set aside 1 cup of this mixture. Mix in the Butterfinger Bites and spread the rest in crust.

Place chocolate chips in a bowl and microwave for 30 seconds on half power, or until smooth when stirred. Stir into reserved mixture until thoroughly mixed. Drop by spoonfuls on top of pie and use a knife to swirl for the marbling.

Cover and freeze for about 4 hours-until firm

The Butterfinger Bites added a lot of texture and flavor to  this sweet treat and I have to warn you that this is way dangerous for dieters! It is what my husband calls very ‘moreish.’ The next time you are in the shop grab a bag of Butterfinger Bites and see what sweet treats you can dream up!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
