Holiday Gift Guide - For Him/Her - Lugz

You all know I have a great love, borderline obsession, for shoes. However, I am not your typical shoe girl. I don’t care for heels or wedges, but show me a cute pair of sneakers or boots and I go weak in the knees! Something about the combination of function and fabulous when done just right is awesome. I have a super awesome pair of boots that are not only awesome winter boots, but they are just smashing to look at.

I am sure you have heard of Lugz and seen their awesome stylish shoes and boots. I have been having a love affair with them for years now. My husband and I both have a few pairs that we simply adore. As with most great things, I just can’t get enough, and with winter fully set in it was time to get some warmer boots. 

Enter my newest love, the Lugz Tambora boot for ladies. There are so many reasons I absolutely adore and recommend these fabulous boots. To start with, just look at them. They are gorgeous and feminine without being too girly. These will be stunning with casual looks, jeans, and work clothes. Since these can be worn two ways you are really getting two boots for one. They look fun and flirty rolled down and also still manage to look pretty when laced all the way up. 

The Perma Hide upper has some lovely stitching and wipes easily after you've been traipsing through the snow. The shaft of the boot is a lovely soft suede and has a metal Lugz logo on the outside. They have a rubber toe cap and heel which I like because I am clumsy, and as you may know that can result in scuffed boots but these caps prevent that as well as stubbed toes. 

Speaking of clumsy, they have got a great griping tread too, which keeps me falling on my face in the slippery weather. Yes I have done that! I don’t even usually need snow or ice to fall, I've slipped on wet rainy sidewalks before. I never said I was graceful, but at least the tread on these boots allows me pretend I am - it‘ll be our little secret. 

My absolute favorite part of this boot is the lining. I always, always, have cold feet and have struggled to keep them warm since the temperatures plummeted, but now they are warm and I am living in my Tambora boots! The lining is a soft acrylic fur lining and it is so luxurious. I mean it, you will seriously be tempted to wear them without socks, it just feels that nice. To add to the luxurious feel they also have a cushioned insole. 

I have a few pairs of winter boots and lets be honest while they all look cute many designs are just flawed as far as comfort and function go but this boot is perfect. The Tambora looks adorable worn up or down, they keep your feet warm in very cold weather (I wore them in negative wind chill and snow), and they offer enough support and protection that you could use them for hikes and work.
