Misa Spring and Summer 2014 Collections

There is something about perfectly polished nails that finishes a look and ties it all together. I just love finding unique shades of nail polish that will compliment all the looks I am going for when the seasons change. Misa Cosmetics offers some of the most lovely and original shades I have ever seen! I have been using the two new lines, Sunny Side Up Spring 2014 and, as of yet, unreleased Summer 2014 collection. I am so happy with both the variety and quality of the polishes!

Chrysanthemum
First, I want to mention, because I think it is so important, that they have never tested on animals, and their polish is free of the Big 3: formaldahyde, toluene, and DBP. It’s good to know that you can feel good about using it and don‘t have to worry about anything nasty hiding in your polish. Now lets talk about how great it is to use!

Blue Jade Vine
It goes on so easy because it is thick and creamy, which makes it spread perfectly and give great coverage. I achieved a deep rich color with all of the shades in just two coats, which is great. Aside from being easy to apply it is also rather durable. It lasted through my day which includes a lot of typing, cleaning, knitting, and general daily abuse and, in spite of all that, it didn’t chip or crack or peel.

Sunny Side Up Spring 2014
Best part of all for me is that I have a huge selection of fabulous shades. You all know a girl can never have too many options when it comes to beauty and fashion. Some of the shades are frosted, some are cream and some are very sparkly. I love that in a few of the shades the sparkle comes in a different shade to the main color, giving it a great depth.

It was really hard to pick a favorite one or two in each of the collections, but if I had to narrow it down to two, I would say in the  Sunny Side Up Spring Collection my two favorites are Chrysanthemum and Blue Jade Vine because the are so fresh looking and will go awesome with my Spring pastels. Chrysanthemum has a pretty subtle sparkle to the light pink shade and the Blue Jade Vine is a lovely rich teal. The remaining shades in the Sunny Side Up Spring Collection: Loveliest of Lilacs, Silly Daffodils, Cherry Blossom Awesome, and Dusty Magnolia.

For the Summer 2014 Collection, my two favorites are Loop-de-Loop and Tumble Bug because they are so bright and cheerful. Loop-de-Loop is a gorgeous bright red and I just love reds. Tumble Bug is a lovely bright yellow. I have big plans for all of the shades for sandal-wearing summer gatherings with friends and family. They are all so bright and summery. The remaining shades are Shoot the Chute, Tilt-A-Whirl, Gravitron, and Power Surge. The fun names remind me of summer at the fair with my big sister!

  1. Love that blue one. I usually stick with pinks or plum colors but I really like how that blue looks
