Loot Crate - August 2014

It's that special geeky time of the month again where looters everywhere stalk their mailbox in anticipation. For any newcomers or generally forgetful people, Loot Crate is quite possibly the most awesome subscription box out there. For only $13.37 (Get it? Haha!) a month, you can get one of these epic boxes for yourself. This month's theme is Heroes which is quite fitting since last month's theme was Villains.  

The first item I grabbed for was the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Full Figure by Kidrobot. I'm sure that at one point or another, most people have watched a show or movie that was TMNT. How could you not? They are not only one of the most popular cartoons but they are just plain awesome to boot. This little Raphael figure even comes with his twin sai AND it glows in the dark. This is an awesome little figure of everyone's favorite sarcastic, temperamental turtle. 

This month was exceptionally awesome because looters got two figures! This awesome Loot Crate exclusive Groot booble-head by Funko Pop is just too cool. He also glows in the dark as well. I got this just in time so I can enjoy watching Guardians of the Galaxy with my awesome little Groot by my side! That is if my children don't claim him first!

Since you can never have enough Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, an awesome pair of bandana mask glasses by H2W was included. I got the blue Leonardo pair and they were quickly taken by my son. Luckily for him, he looks much cuter in them than I do. There was also a pair of Shoe Lightening Bolts by Schwings. Whether you want to channel your inner Flash or Hermes, you can look like a genuine hero rocking these bad boys. There is almost nothing cooler than wings on your feet. This is a fact.

The Sonic the Hedgehog air freshener was an awesome addition as well. Right after taking this picture, I ripped him open and gave him a new home on my rearview mirror. Not only does he look good there, he also smells surprisingly good! Sonic Breeze is an awesome scent. The Chimichang'Os magnet gave me a good laugh as well! Deadpool is just awesome and I was glad to see him return this month. Some bonus digital loot and the honorary Loot Crate button finish off the awesomeness for this month!
