Farm Animals from Leisure Arts

You may recall last week when I told you about the book with zoo animals. Well, my daughter loved them so much that I had to go back and fish around for some more great patterns. You know how I feel about Leisure Arts and if you are new here let me just say, they are the best pattern resource for crafters of many craft genres.

That being said, it didn't take me long at all to find Farm Animals by Jessica Boyer. This fantastic books has patterns for six farm animals that are absolutely adorable. The patterns are labeled for beginner plus and I think they are easy enough that anyone with basic crochet skills will be able to make them easily. I am making the sheep right now. I happened to have some fluffy yellow so, my sheep will be yellow, but I think the fluffy yarn will make it super cute. I will be making the whole family so look for that update!

As with all of the pattern books from Leisure Arts, this one is written with very easy to follow instructions and has great pictures as well. If you make toys, you really need this book! Seriously, have you seen the cow? Just look at the back cover, he has udders! How adorable is he? I have a sister who decorated her kitchen with cows and I just know she is going to be getting one of these little cuties! And the pig, oh my, he is a round little ball of adorableness isn't he? Let's face it, they are all awesome and I have already made my yarn list so that I can make each one, at least once.

Have you made toys before? I would sure love to hear about them if you have. If you haven't yet this is a great place to start since these patterns are not complicated and the results are just so awesome.

Take some time to browse Leisure Arts' great selection and make sure you also connect with Leisure Arts on Facebook and Twitter so that you never miss a special or new pattern! Also, if you sign up for their knitting or crochet newsletters, you get a free pattern on Fridays!

Disclosure: I may receive products in exchange for an honest review. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I personally believe will be good for my readers.
