A Premonition of Murder (Dream Club Mystery #3) by Mary Kennedy

You may recall I told you about the unique Dream Club cozy series. I hope you are all caught up with the first two parts because, A Premonition of Murder (Dream Club Mystery #3) by Mary Kennedy is going to be available June 7th!

From the back of the book:

An elderly Southern heiress’s nightmare becomes a real case of murder in the latest Dream Club Mystery from the national bestselling author of Dream a Little Scream.

When Abigail Marchand, Savannah’s famously reclusive heiress, invites the Dream Club ladies to lunch at her Beaux Reeves mansion, Taylor and Ali hope for an invitation to join the distinguished Magnolia Society. But Abigail has a more pressing concern: a recent dream that seems to foretell her death.

Taylor reassures Abigail that there are many ways to interpret a dream, but at the next meeting of the Dream Club, their discussion is cut short by a call from Detective Sam Stiles. She's at Abigail's mansion, where the elderly woman appears to have been pushed to her death down a flight of stairs. Now Taylor, Ali, and the Dream Club need to catch a killer before someone else is laid to rest.

My thoughts:

First, like I said the whole concept of a dream club is really novel and refreshing, and it allows this series to go pretty much anywhere, it's exciting. The characters are adorable and if this is your first in the series you will be able to easily follow along with who is who.

I liked that this time there was some more sleuthing that didn't depend fully on dreams. It allowed a depth and ingenuity to be seen in the club members. In the back of the book was a neat dream symbols guide too. Make sure you get caught up and ready for the next adventure with the dream club.

Take some time to browse the other great mysteries available from Berkley Prime Crime. While you are there, you can sign up for the newsletter so you never miss a new release.
