The Cat, The Collector and the Killer (A Cats in Trouble Mystery #8) by Leann Sweeney

You know I love cats. You should know I love cats! You should also recognize this series, because I've told you about it before! I always enjoy cozies that have pet themes, especial when the author clearly loves them as much as I do. The Cat, The Collector and the Killer (A Cats in Trouble Mystery #8) by Leann Sweeney was such a fun read and the cats were just the start of the fun

From the back of the book:

In the latest mystery from the New York Times bestselling author of The Cat, the Sneak and the Secret, a cat collector is suspected of murder.

Jillian Hart and police chief Tom Stewart are enjoying peaceful, newly wedded bliss in Mercy, South Carolina, until a woman is found wandering the streets one night. She's in her night clothes, disoriented, and carrying a kitten in a tote bag. A search of the woman’s house reveals many more cats, a maze of cardboard boxes—and a dead man.

Although the evidence suggests the frail woman is the killer, Jillian doesn’t believe she’s capable of such a crime. The dead man had many enemies in town, which means finding the real murderer may prove to be its own cat and mouse game.

My thoughts:

I absolutely love this series. To start with, all of the cats and their distinct personalities add such a real homey feeling. The characters in this series are so sweet, and so real. Jilly and Tom are one of my favorite couples. Even when they are apart, working from different angles, you can feel the sweet love they have for each other.

There were a few levels of mysteries to put together in order to figure things out and also several people and points I felt really intensely concerned for things. The layering was as perfectly done as the pacing. I stayed up all night reading this and was so satisfied at the end. Satisfied, yet craving the next part. I hope you will join me in reading this series, there is really so much to love
