I think I mentioned the last time I talked about this series that I love reality TV! The TV show set up in, Third Time's a Crime (A Love Or Money Mystery #3) by Diana Orgain, sounded like a show I would have watched actually.
From the back of the book:
After two hit reality TV shows brought ex-detective Georgia Thornton into America’s living rooms, audiences can’t get enough of her quest for love and justice. Now producers have come up with an all-new show set in a haunted castle in Golden, California. Georgia and nine other contestants will need to solve the mystery of a teenage girl who disappeared at the castle in 1960.
Except there’s one rather substantial problem waiting for everyone when they arrive: one of the contestants is found drowned at the bottom of the castle’s empty pool. Now Georgia and the other contestants will need to work together, because there’s a different sort of game afoot—and it’s not one they can afford to lose.
My thoughts:
As with the last part there was a hardcore show must go on feeling here. Poor Georgia is a trooper! She had some things happen that would have sent most contestants packing. Speaking of Georgia, it was great to see her and Scott again. I love the them together and won't give any spoilers as to what happens there. I know last time I loved another romantic interest, but he had an accent, and I can be flighty.
There was a whole lot of mystery to solve, I didn't, but I had fun trying. There was the cold case premise of the show as well as some fresh cases that were tossed their way that only Georgia seemed interested in solving, plus some strange goings on in the castle. I had a lot of fun reading this and really look forward to the next one.
Take some time to browse the other great mysteries available from Berkley Prime Crime. While you are there, you can sign up for the newsletter so you never miss a new release. I must warn you though, after browsing my wish list is longer than I could probably read. You can also connect with them on Twitter where you can happen across a fun giveaway as well.
Disclosure: I may receive products in exchange for an honest review. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I personally believe will be good for my readers.
