Nestle Holiday Candy

One thing most of us love about the holidays is all of the delicious treats. We like to try several new recipes each year and can always count on Nestle to have some awesome holiday themed candies to make our recipes fun and tasty. In addition to baking Nestle treats also make perfect stocking stuffers and small gifts.

When you head to the shop look for these great flavors which are  only available during the holiday season:  New Wonka Pixy Stix Powder-filled Candy Canes, New 1lb Nestle Crunch bar, New Wonka SweeTARTS and Spree Tube-filled Mini Candy Canes, New Nestle Assorted Miniatures, Wonka Classic Candy Canes, SweeTARTS Holiday Gummies, Nestle Stocking Stuffer Tins, Wonka Nerds and Fun Dip Fantastical Fun Books, and Wonka Pixy Stix Giant Candy Canes.

As  you can see that is a lot of tasty goodies to stuff your stockings with. We absolutely love the Wonka Classic Candy Canes in Gobstoppers flavor! In addition to hanging them on the tree and from the stockings we also used them in our coffee and hot chocolate as a delicious stirrer.  If you are not a coffee drinker another fun way to use them is to melt some vanilla bark and dip them in the bark! It an easy way to have a fancy snack for  your party guests and all you need is the candy canes and a small block of vanilla bark. Yum!

Recipe:

One block of Vanilla Bark
Directions: Microwave the bark in 30 second intervals until melted and creamy. Dip the candy canes in the melted bark and allow them to cool on wax paper.

Your favorite cup of coffee
This one needs no directions you’ll be delighted by the sweet addition to your coffee.

Up next we tried the SweeTARTS Merry Mix and they are the same awesome SweeTARTS I loved but in fun festive shapes and colors. These are great for stocking stuffers too! We decided to try them as a nice bonus on top of sugar cookies.  There are a few ways you can do this:

One is to just use them intact as decorations and this works great with kids because they can help easily. The second way and in my opinion the most fun is to crust them and use them either mixed in your icing or just on top.

Recipe:
Take a half a box of SweeTARTS Merry Mix and put them in a baggy. Use a rolling pin and crush them. Let the kids do this part they will have a blast! Once you have them crushed just stir them into your favorite butter cream frosting and spread over cookies!

As you can see Nestle has a lot of ways to make your holidays a little sweeter! From all of us at My Empty Nest to all of you  Happy Holidays!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
