Green Guru Review & Giveaway

You all know my husband and I are green people and we always try our very best to be aware of and lessen our footprint on this great planet. I am excited to tell you I have found a fantastic company that helps us do that with stylish bags and products for the active and eco-friendly - Green Guru. They collect hard-to-recycle materials, like inner tubes, vinyl and climbing rope from shops, manufacturers, and people from all over the country to make their awesome gear.

When browsing their collection my first thought was for a backpack for my husband. He really needs a reliable pack since he rides his bike, whenever possible, to work, to the shop, pretty much everywhere he goes. He usually carries his work stuff, and shopping etcetera in a backpack. There are a lot of problems with traditional backpacks from durability to sustainability. It is so nice to know that there is a wonderful option that answers both issues of function and footprint yet also stays fashionable too.

We were both very excited  when we received the Spinner Backpack from Green Guru. To start with we can feel awesome knowing that it is made with up-cycled bike inner tubes, 100% recycled PETE fabrics, and 60% recycled PETE aerospace mesh. Plus it is made in the USA. In addition to being made with such awesome materials it also has  all of the features he needed to make this the last backpack he will need. I think the first thing that really impressed me is that it is weatherproof, which is so helpful because he doesn’t let the rain, or even snow, stop him from biking to work. The things that my husband most loved is that is has enough places, spaces, and divisions to get all of your things secure and easily accessible.

The main part has a laptop pocket which is also designed to be used to hold a hydration pouch. There is also an outer compartment which has a zippered pouch and several dividers. The outside is really cool looking with the inner tubes and reflective tapping, which you can  hook things too. Plus it has two pockets, one on each side that can hold water bottles. There are Aerospace mesh shoulder straps and an adjustable waist strap so that you get a perfect comfortable secure fit. Speaking of secure there are compression straps to keep everything in place once you have it all packed.

I just love that all of the fabulous products are made from a combination of recycled and up-cycled materials. I encourage you to have a look around the Green Guru site and see all of the great products they offer. You can also follow them on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date with news, products, and even fun giveaways.
