Knitter's Pride Nova Cubics Double Pointed 15CM Sock Needle Set

Hello crafters! Who here has worked with double pointed needles? I can say I have now and wow! I have huge admiration for those who knit socks or anything in the round. I have just recently taken up the challenge of learning to work in the round and it has certainly been a challenge for my fumbling, old fingers. Can we say dropped stitches, and twisted rounds?

Thankfully I am armed with some awesome needles and am thus making fast progress in learning this challenging style of knitting. Knitter’s Pride is an awesome company that makes knitting and crochet needles in so many styles and materials. They were kind enough to let me try a set of their sock needles. The set I tried is the Nova Cubics Double Pointed 15CM Sock Needle Set. Make sure you stick around to see how you can win a set of your very own.

The first thing I want to mention is the shape because it is very unique. They are not round as a typical knitting needle. As the name suggests, they are cube shaped. This shape was so very useful while I was trying to get the hang of working the round because the needles didn’t want to spin and roll away. In addition to that, I really do like the way they feel in my hands and would interested in trying a cubed needle in bigger sizes as well.

This set has 6 sets of 5 double pointed needles in the sizes 0, 1, 1-½,  2, 2-½, and 3. I love that the size is right on the side the needle just in case you get them mixed up. Being from the Nova line, they are brass and feel just awesome to knit with. As you can see from the pictures, I was able to cast on and sort the stitches easily enough. I don’t have a completed sock to show you, yet, but I will soon.

There are several techniques to working with double pointed needles. The two I have tried are with four and with five needles and since this set has five needles in each size it is perfect for everyone, no matter which method they prefer to use. Plus they come in a handy clear case that keeps all of your needles neatly sorted and easy to find.

In addition to this set you will find Knitter's pride offers so many awesome sets as well as individual needles. Make sure you head over to the Knitter's Pride site to see all the awesome sets they offer (there is so much!) and connect with them on Facebook and Twitter as well to stay up to date great offers and promotions.

I know you have been looking at my lovely needles and thinking, giveaway, she said giveaway. 10. I love how smooth and easy to use these look. Sometimes a circular needle just won't won't do, you need a set of small double points. Thanks for the chance to win!
