Nail Honey

We all know that nail polish can be the finishing piece to the perfect outfit. Today, I want to share an awesome little company with you called Nail Honey Custom Lacquers. Nail Honey is owned and ran by the very sweet Bee Smith and all of the products are handmade, by her. Her lacquers are 5-free which means they do not contain toluene, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, dibutyl phthalate, or camphor. They are also pregnancy-safe, vegan, and cruelty-free.

The first thing I want to mention is the attention to detail that Bee has with her products. All of my items were wrapped in bubble wrap and a rubber band to protect them during shipping. They came in an adorable little bag with gift paper and a handwritten label telling me what was in each pouch. All of the details really makes you feel like she spent her time on your order, making it perfect just for you! You don't see that kind of care with many companies, big or small.

Aside from the cute packaging for shipping, the packaging for the items themselves are equally as cute. The eye shadows and lippies have little 3-D bees on them and the nail polish bottles have bee decals. She also includes a lip brush for your lippie! The eye shadow I received was in the color Sandy Nude and it is a great, sparkly nude. It is a loose-pigment eye shadow so it comes in a little jar with a sifter. The sparkle gives it great dimension and it has become my go-to eye shadow for a one shadow look and also for a brow bone and inner eye corner highlight.

The lippies I received were in the colors Strawberry Fields and Coral Kiss. They are both scented and flavored and have wonderful pigmentation. Strawberry Fields is a wonderful hot pink and Coral Kiss is a great coral-y pinkish nude. Both have a great sheen to them and do not require a gloss over top. They are super hydrating and leave your lips feeling, tasting, and smelling great! They have pretty good staying power but I would bring them along with you for reapplication during the day.

The first mini lacquer I got was in Wild Orchid. It is a great lilac color and perfect for Spring and Summer. I achieved full coverage and color with two coats. The other mini lacquer I received was in Shaved Opal. It is a glittery topcoat with awesome reflective pieces. I love this topcoat and it only took me one coat to get awesome coverage. The full sized lacquer I choose was in Chocolate Covered Strawberries. Can we just take a moment and admire this color? It is a beautiful deep, brownish red with small, red, hexagonal glitters. I am in love with this color! It took me three, thin coats to achieve the color in the photo but I am sure I could have gotten away with two thicker ones.

If none of these colors are for you, don't worry! You can B.Y.O.P (build your own polish)! Bee will custom make you any polish your heart desires! I absolutely love everything I received from Nail Honey and I know you guys will too! Be sure to check out her website and see all the different colors she currently offers. Also, follow her on Facebook so you never miss a new collection or promotion!
