It's that special geeky time of the month again where looters everywhere stalk their mailbox in anticipation. For any newcomers, or generally forgetful people, Loot Crate is quite possibly the most awesome subscription box out there. For only $13.37 (Get it? Haha!) a month, you can get one of these epic boxes for yourself. This month's theme is Galactic which has me super pumped since some of my favorite games and movies are based in space!
The first thing I grabbed for this month was the Firefly Viynl "Mal" Exclusive Action Figure by Funko. I have heard wonderful things about Firefly but I regret to inform you that I have never watched it. I am sure that this made a lot of Looters happy this month though because the people that I have encountered that have watched it seem to love it and have nothing bad to say about it other than it being cancelled.
This month was a two-fer on the action figure front. The next one was an Alien Re-Action Figure by Funko and 20th Century Fox. Alien is one of those movies that everyone needs to watch. If you haven't seen Alien, stop what you are doing and watch it. This little figure is pretty awesome. A clear top comes off of his head to reveal a lever that moves his tongue in and out of his mouth. His head also glows in the dark. How awesome!!
Up next was the Star Trek Tribble Exclusive Looter Edition by Quantum Mechanix. I will start this off by saying I am not a Star Trek fan and I have no idea what a Tribble is. I lean more towards Star Wars and would have much preferred an Ewok. Either way, this little thing looks cute enough and I know my Trekkie mother will be happy to receive it in her next care package from me!
Now speaking of Star Wars, the next item was right up my alley. This 9X27" Star Wars poster by Lucasfilm Ltd is way too awesome. As Loot Crate describes: "Nothing makes the heart beat faster than Seeing Han Solo encased in carbonite for what could be an eternity." This is so true! Such a good scene from such a good movie. I can't wait to hang this up and stare at it on the daily!
I was so glad to see some Pop Rocks included. I haven't ate these since I was a child and this carbonated candy definitely brought back some great, and mildly painful memories. Also from Firefly was some bank robbery money. Another great Star Wars addition was this Retro Arcade Magnet. He will definitely have a special place next to all my other Loot Crate magnets on my fridge!
Loot Crate, as usual, was awesome this month! I know you are dying to have your own Loot Crates coming to your door so remember: All you have to do is sign up and for $13.37 you can have your very own. Sign up today though because boxes are limited and with stuff this epic, demand is high.
You can also stay up to date with fun extras and specials by following Loot Crate on Facebook and Twitter.
Disclosure: I may receive products in exchange for an honest review. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I personally believe will be good for my readers.
