Color Me Monthly - September and October 2014

There is just something about well manicured nails that makes me feel confident and well put together. When picking out nail polishes at the store, I tend to lean towards the same types of colors; I suppose I am just a creature of habit. That is where Color Me Monthly comes in. They are a monthly subscription service that sends you a different nail polish each month for only $7! A huge bonus? Their nail polish is free of toluene, formaldehyde/formaldehyde resin, dibutyl phthalate (DBP), and camphor!

In my box, I received both September and October's colors. For October, the color was called Pennywise. The color is a beautiful copper shade with an awesome metallic finish. I really love this color and achieved a fully opaque shade in 2-3 coats. I have never really been one to follow trends, so I can see myself getting a lot of wear out of this, no matter the time of year. The shade is just so gorgeous! Plus, Pennywise has always been one of my favorite bands and scary movie characters!

September's color was Annapolis and it is a beautiful inky, purple/blue color. This color is almost black and the polish itself is quite thick. You can get a fully opaque color in just one coat, but I prefer to do 2 thinner coats for a more even finish. I have always loved the simplicity of a black nail polish and this is a beautiful way to change that up and bring a little color into your nail color without wearing a full blown, bright color.

Overall, I am very impressed with my Color Me Monthly box. I really like the colors and the quality of the polish is outstanding for only $7. I know you are dying to start receiving your own box, so check out their website where you can learn more and sign up! Also, be sure to follow them on Facebook and Twitter to never miss any news!

Disclosure: I may receive products in exchange for an honest review. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I personally believe will be good for my readers.
