Add-On Crochet Cables from Leisure Arts

You all know I am have real love for cables lately. Just last week I told you about a great knit cable book. Often cables in crochet just can’t accomplish the same complex looks as knit cables but I just found a new technique that allows for much more freedom and creativity in crochet cables. It’s called add on cables and to learn all about it, I headed to Leisure Arts.

Add-On Crochet Cables from Leisure Arts gave me all the information I needed to get started planning some fabulous projects. I really love the complex looks you can create by making add-on cables. In this book you will find the techniques to make several types of braids, braid combinations, and really cool braid bobble designs.

What is really neat is they give you instructions in a way that will allow you to customize the lengths so that you can make your own custom designs or add this to your favorite pattern. If you are not sure enough about your own design abilities, there are five beautiful patterns included that you can make using this awesome technique.

As with all Leisure Arts books this is illustrated wonderfully and has well-written, easy to follow instructions. I also found that these cables use very basic stitches making them perfect for all levels of crocheters. I think once you get the hang of this, the possibilities are endless and I am just so excited by the idea of what I will be able to add cables to now.

Are you a fan of cables? If you have ever wanted to add cables to something but were not sure how, you really need to learn this technique!

Take some time to browse Leisure Arts' great selection and make sure you also connect with Leisure Arts on Facebook and Twitter so that you never miss a special or new pattern! Also, if you sign up for their knitting or crochet newsletters, you get a free pattern on Fridays!

Disclosure: I may receive products in exchange for an honest review. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I personally believe will be good for my readers.
