Nomad Footwear Puddles Rain Boot Review

I don’t think I have ever seen it just rain in Kansas since I move here seven years ago. I must admit I miss the Florida sun showers that you could dance in. When it rains here it rains with purpose, there is no halfway. I can’t count the times I ended up with wet shoes and soaked socks trying to get from the car to the house. 

In fact I often need to get to the storm shelter and it just so happens that when it rains a new river forms on the sidewalk right in my path. So rather than keep carrying two pairs of shoes everywhere I decide I needed a pair of rain boots. Not just any rain boots would do for me though. I needed something adorable as well as functional.

I had a really hard time picking because they offered a fair few with pink styles and you know how drawn I am to pink.  I finally settled on the Puddles - Fuchsia/Grey Jumbo Dots. I mean how cute are these?

I was so excited when they arrived! They are made from rubber and have a small 1/14 inch heel. The sole has a good grippy design that will help you keep your footing in the slippy weather. These run a half size big and are very roomy and comfortable. I often struggle with the calf fitting boots but didn’t find these tight at all.  There is also a buckle at the top which you can let out in the event you do need a little more room.

It did say that these are water resistant but not entirely water proof. I have not had a rainy day yet, which is odd for July, so I tested them with the garden hose. I am happy to report that my socks and feet stayed totally dry.  In fact I had fun playing in the water with the dogs and we made quiet a puddle which the boots handled like a champ.
